What I’m About

I’m Jamie, the person behind Jump Ahead Creative. I’ve spent years developing my skills and much of my portfolio comes from working in-house. Designing labels and packaging, shooting products, shaping campaigns, and learning what actually moves the needle, especially  in the alcohol sector. But it’s not the only world I work in, the same principles travel well.

Now it’s time to take that experience and go solo. Same passion. Same standards. More focus.

Why Go Solo

Because great work happens when there’s no faff between idea and execution. I want to work directly with people. To bring sharper thinking, cleaner design, and faster delivery without the agency overhead. And, truth be told, this is the path I’ve been heading towards for some time.

What Drives Me

  • Story first. If the story’s clear, the design works harder.
  • Craft in the details. Paper stock, foils, type, light. Small decisions, big difference.
  • Results matter. Pretty is good; effective is better.
  • Straightforward. No jargon, no drama, just honest work done well.

What I Do Best

  • Brand identity – naming, logos, visual systems, tone of voice.
  • Labels & packaging – concept to print-ready artwork (a real strong point).
  • Design for print & POS – brochures, sell sheets, menus, posters, on-trade/off-trade.
  • Photography – product, lifestyle, and brand story.
  • Campaigns & content – ideas, ads and social rollouts that actually land.
